Drink plenty of water

Drinking plenty of water can be a solution to migraine. Dehydration can be one of the major causes of migraine. So drinking water does help. If plain water does not help much, try having some tea or coffee to steer clear of the pain. Caffeine helps to control the blood vessels and thus can reduce the pain by a great deal. But amount should be limited.

Tie a tight headband

Sometimes it has been seen that tying a headband in the head helps to ease the pain. Whenever you feel that the head is paining because of migraine, try tying a headband and lie down for some time. The pain would ease out.

Have a good sleep

Sleep is the best solution to migraine. Pop a medicine and try sleeping for some time. Sleep definitely creates wonders to migraine. For a better added effect massage some peppermint oil on your forehead and then go off to sleep. It would work and you would see your migraine vanish as fast as it occurred.

Vitamin B12

It has been observed that intake of Vitamin B 12 also helps in reduction of migraine. Though the side effects maybe too much urination, it has been seen to be of help. It should be taken with the recommendation of doctors.

Cold or hot compress

If you are alone at home, try out a cold or hot compress on the part that is hurting. This may also help by a good deal.

These are a few home remedies that can be tried out. Nevertheless, there are medicines which help you to relieve the pain as well, but they should be taken to the minimum.
