Managing acne

Managing acne

Acne is an inflammation of the oil producing glands and the hair follicles of the skin and can be seen as eruptions on the skin surface. The most commonly affected area is the skin on the face and sometimes the chest. This is a common phenomenon and may occur as a response to hormonal changes in an individual’s life.

While they are commonly experienced by many people, if not managed well, scarring or any permanent marks can be left on the face. These marks can be seen on the skin but they can have deep seated impact on the emotional development of a person. Having marks on the skin can make a person feel embarrassed, inferior and may ultimately affect the self-confidence. Hence, care needs to be taken so as to avoid scarring.
